The Transit Loom Guard has been designed to help protect the rear wire loom on the Transit and Transit connect vans.

The Loom Guard works by shielding the cable that is visible between the gap on the rear door and the van body.

Earlier Transit models allow the locking system to be bypassed via the exposed loom, allowing an educated thief easy access to your vans contents. Although Ford have now addressed this problem on later models preventing this method from working, the down time and cost to repair a loom damaged by a lesser educated thief can run into hundreds if not thousands.

Handle Guard

The Transit Handle Guard protects the side door's internal handle from slim objects being passed through the gap in the door to operate the handle.

The vehicle is vulnerable to this attack when on a single lock on the remote central locking (not deadlocked) or when fitted with slam locks. The handle Guard is simple to fit using the manufacturers fittings.
